Our Sat., Apr. 2th program features Tara Rhiannon Bartley, the moderator of Sunflower Sutras, a literary radio program on Washburn University’s radio station. Tara and Ryan Thompson tell us about three, yes three, ways to get your work out to the public. Besides the radio program, a ‘zine, and a new and thriving open mic.wants to promote local writers and is always looking for people to interview and read their works on air.
We will meet at 11:30 AM for lunch from the Millennium Café and chat in the Menninger Room in the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.
THIS IS IMPORTANT!
The business meeting will start at 12:15 PM. We have a lot to do ,and I don’t want to delay the program.
But why do we need 45 minutes for the business meeting? The best reason is that the 2019 YEARBOOKS are here. If you ordered a print copy, I will hand them out at this meeting and the next. If you can’t make it, I will mail them to you, but please help KAC save money and pick your copy up in person. I will also have brochures for the 2019 Conference in Wichita for you to peruse and then pass on.
There are several other matters that were discussed at the KAC State Board meeting and our last meeting that I’m sure you will want to give your feedback on.
So, it will be a big (because you will all want to come) meeting. Don’t miss it!
